Hello! I am Theresa DuLaney, and I am privileged to be your child’s science teacher this year. I am a graduate of Millsaps College where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education and a minor in classical studies. I have taught 6th grade for 28 years and have taught science for the last 21 years. I was the 2011 Metro Middle School Teacher of the Year, the 2015 Professional Educator of Tennessee Teacher of the Year, and a 2016 Blue Ribbon Teacher.
I have been happily married for 24 years and have a 16 year old daughter, Emma. I also have a dog, Nibbles, and a cat, Coco. My hobbies include traveling, going to the movies, and eating at all of the new restaurants in Nashville. I am also an avid Predators hockey fan and have been a season ticket holder for more than 10 years.
The most important thing to know about me is that teaching science is my calling and my passion, and I am eagerly looking forward to this school year!
